Blue Eyed Boy & Hello Gorgeous

Blue Eyed Boy, 2009 & Hello Gorgeous, 2009

These two pieces were designed together, but made to stand alone as well.

Blue Eyed Boy, 2009

Blue Eyed Boy was made with the idea of a male profile picture. The abstract eye pops as he looks out through the blue mirror glass. You can follow the silver down and around as it frames the side of his face and neck. [Stained glass grouted on wood, 24in. x 24 in.]

Hello Gorgeous, 2009

Oh, hello! To complete the diptych, Hello Gorgeous starts on the left with fiery, flowing locks across one side of her abstract face. The orange glass pops for concentration as she stares out… Her eyelashes lead to the side of her face as it curves down and around her Venus neck. [Stained glass grouted on wood, 24in. x 24 in.]

Rhyme or Reason?

Rhyme or Reason?, 2009

An abstraction of whose relationship? There’s two figures that play off of each other…can you see them? The male figure is on the right, represented predominantly by greens. The side profile looks across through the shiny blue mirror glass. Now focusing on the female figure in reds, her hair flows down the left side, her face framed in red, she leans back with her arm stretched across, pushing or pulling? Holding back or generating energy from the male? [Stained glass grouted on wood, 42in. x 24 in.]
