Shamrocks Shakin' the Day Away, 2010

Chicago, show that Irish pride! This glass mosaic is a play on glass, joining greens and golds to reflect the shake, shine, shimmy and shuffle of an Irish celebration, particularly when the river’s glowing green in the Windy City!

[Stained glass and grout on wood, 24in. x 24in.]

The piece was made for The Junior Council’s annual black tie event, Snowball 2010 (www.cmhjc.org/snowball). The auction was a success, as was Snowball: The Junior Council donated $115,000 to The Pediatric and Adolescent AIDS & HIV Clinic of Children’s Memorial Hospital!

Thank you to Sourlis Glass Studio (http://www.sourlisglassstudio.com/) for donating the beautiful glass!!

Love at First Sight, 2010

Love at First Sight, 2010

This piece was custom made for a new mother, Wendy from her husband Jeff as they had their first baby girl!

Love at First Sight depicts a side view of the mother holding her baby in front of her with love and soft energy as her face calmly focuses on the newborn. The baby shines of soft, neutral colors for innocence and yellows highlight the face of the new glowing mother. The silver, black, and white pattern at the bottom was put in to match a rocking chair in the couple’s nursery, and the blues enhancing the piece emphasize Wendy’s favorite color. Congratulations Wendy and Jeff!
