Chicago sports boards donated to the 2011 CPY Annual Benefit charity auction. The event was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Nearly 400 professionals came out to support the students enrolled in the CPY College Prep Program for the 2011-2012 school year!
Chicago Professionals for Youth (CPY) is a network of young professionals who are dedicated to helping
students achieve their dream of going to college through mentoring.

Made for friends Michelle and Aaron. In the top right corner, the piece begins with structures representing different places in Michelle and Aaron’s life; the white structure is the Washington Monument, for Washington DC where they were married. Then the Ponte Vecchio bridge with water flowing under it, where they met, and coincidentally where I met them both. :) The colored glass between the arches and the top of the bridge (except for the silver) is stained glass from Ravenna, Italy, home of some of the most beautiful mosaics in the world.
To the right of the Ponte Vecchio is the Willis Tower (or John Hancock) as they both have horns :) representing Chicago, where Michelle and Aaron conquered living in their first city together.
Hugging the bottom of the ‘Willis Tower’ is a Vikings ship, floating down Michelle’s beautiful brown locks of hair. Michelle is in purples facing Aaron who is in blues and greens. I did reverse colors as now they are one, Aaron in blue, and Michelle now Purple (another reference to Aaron’s favorite football team). :) Their foreheads face and rest against each other.
Blue and gold ribbon intertwines above the profiles along the top edge of the piece, and finally last, but not least, Aaron has the mark of a true horned Viking on the side of his head.

Made for and inspired by friends Jaclyn & Sam! The piece captures their energy and love for each other, depicting soulful dancing as Sam extends his arm out and Jaclyn leans in about to wrap her hands around him.
The piece was made in an old window pane from a barn in Indiana so they could take a piece of the Midwest with them as they moved to NYC from Chicago. :)

This glass mosaic designed for Emily and Dan, intertwines colors and symbols to celebrate their union.
Emily is represented on the left of the piece in purples and Dan is on the right in blues. The couple’s brown eyes meet in the middle to rest their heads against each other.
Right above where the two head’s meet, sits the Star of David.
Emily’s brown locks of hair flow off of her face through the left side of the piece. The Hebrew letters, Ani L‘ Dodi V’ Dodi Li, “I am to my beloved as my beloved is to me” glisten in gold against the locks of mosaiced hair. The gold shimmers in Emily’s figure and weaves through the Star of David to Dan’s figure landing at the Chai symbol.
Dan’s face is molded with deep blues, as bright glass cracks and radiates off his figure into the top right of the piece. Sheets of colors intertwine through the figures connecting their energy and wrapping it with their exciting love.

This piece was made for friends Lauren and Karl. It represents the park where Lauren and Karl Met. In true Chicago fashion, the park sits where three streets cross: West Diversey Parkway, North Lakeview Avenue, and North Cannon Drive.
Starting in the top left sits the Jefferson statue, glittering in golds and looking out on Chicago skyline buildings that bounce on the shoreline. Earthy tones of greenery overtake the bottom of the piece and climb up to the top right showing off the beauty of the nature of the park where they met. The base of the piece is mirror glass. The mirror shines through and gives the piece one more layer of depth as the foliage climbs from the bottom left to the top right.
