The Piano Keys on Fletcher Street, New Orleans
December 2012
December 2012
When visiting my sister Amanda in New Orleans, we enjoyed
photographing (and pretending to play) the piano outside her house. Pianos, rendered
unplayable by the flood, decorated the streets.
When I came across the shutter as a base of a potential
piece it triggered the even element of a piano key as I recalled the piano on
Fletcher Street. The piece plays the soul and rhythm of New Orleans.
