Behind the Lens, 2012

Behind the Lens, 2012

Behind the Lens was inspired by fellow artist, friend, and extremely talented photographer Pam Hoover (www.pamelayasuko.com).

Whether it's happiness exchanged through smiles on a wedding day, the craft of an artist shining through in their portrait, or feeling the soul of a musician on the street, Pam captures life at its essence in her photography, which inspired 'Behind the Lens'.

The piece shapes the portrait of a photographer behind their camera lens, capturing the moment in front of them and framing the explosive beauty and emotion.

The piece aims to be twofold, depicting the authentic moments captured by a photographer, as well as the beauty of the photographer's eye behind the lens.
