Jamie & Cole, June 2013

Jamie & Cole, June 2013

This glass mosaic was custom made and designed for Jamie and Cole as a wedding gift from their dear friend and bridesmaid Cara.

Cara wanted to create something special for the couple so we discussed what she wanted to include in the piece. Above is the result of our discussions! Below you'll find a key that describes the symbolism in the piece.

Jamie is represented on the right of the piece in Kelly greens and Cole is on the right in blues. The couple’s blue eyes meet in the middle to rest their heads against each other.

A road winds in right above where the two head’s meet, representing long motorcycle rides. In the top green glass flows in and out representing the beautiful countryside with yellow patches peering through to represent the corn fields of Ohio. (If you look at the image above, because of the angle you can see the green grass is curved, giving the piece another dimension - one of my favorite details of this piece!)

Off to the top right are bright blue, white and reds glistening representing the Texas flag colors where Jamie and Cole started their life together in their first home.

Resting above Jamie’s flowing locks is a strip of pure white, representing her wedding veil. Fluttering above the white is a pink and yellow butterfly, symbolizing Jamie's sister Kristin watching over the couple as their love grows.

Congratulations Jamie and Cole!!

Key to the symbolization in the piece:
1. Jaime’s Profile in Kelly Green
2. Cole’s Profile in Blues
3. Winding Road
4. Countryside & Corn Fields
5. Texas Flag Colors
6. Wedding Veil
7. Butterfly
